CollegeKnowledge was created by Kari Sulcer, Nationally Certified Counselor, because of a need to help students with the ever changing and overwhelming process of applying to college.
"College admission requirements have become harder to achieve and more difficult to maneuver. Whatever experiences and emotions you have linked to the college admission process, I can help alleviate some of that stress."
Most students have a school counselor, so why look for an independent college counselor? Access to college information is a significant benefit to students in the college application process. For many students, particularly those in public schools, college counseling is limited at best. Counselors are few in number, stretched to the limit with student caseloads and limited in the amount of time they are able to dedicate to college counseling.
We can complement your child’s counselor’s efforts by working closely with your child, customizing a strategic plan of action that will help him or her get into the best colleges of his or her choice. Additionally, we help keep your child organized and motivated throughout the application process. Careful planning in this stressful time is crucial. To help, we are flexible with our schedule. You decide how you want to work with us: either face-to-face, by phone or e-mail, or a combination of the above.
Experience: Kari Sulcer is a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed School Counselor. She is currently a school counselor at the #1 Comprehensive High School in Tennessee according to Newsweek Magazine.
Mrs. Sulcer has experience working with admissions professionals as an advocate for her students and attends numerous school counselor admissions information sessions each year in order to maintain professional development standards.
